No – that’s the short answer. We don’t take bookings as there is plenty of space and usually enough seating to accommodate all visitors. Bear in mind that sunshine pushes up the numbers, so that if you want to be guaranteed a table, it is best to arrive earlier rather than later. If you do see that a table has been reserved, this will be an historic booking, before the no booking policy was initiated.
Other than the obvious advice eg: bring a coat, we have limited space under cover just outside the wine bar and shop. – and we’ve been known to drag extra tables and chairs underneath to accommodate everyone. It makes for a cosy party atmosphere!
Unless it’s a birthday cake, or special occasion cake, then we prefer not. We are a working vineyard, that opens for customers to enjoy at weekends. We offer a variety of drinks, wine, beer, cider and soft drinks as well as cheese or charcuterie sharing boards. If you want to have a picnic, then Sywell Country Park is only a mile away.
Yes, of course. We love dogs, but are aware that not everyone does – so well behaved dogs (with owners prepared to clear up after them) are more than welcome. We do have dog bowls, with water (not wine) available and lots of space for them to have a good run.
Yes – beautiful presentation cards, hand made and finished off with satin ribbon, can be purchased direct from the vineyard during opening hours. Alternatively, one can be pre-ordered by emailing hello@newlodgevineyard.co.uk and collected during opening hours at the weekend, or posted to you/recipient for nominal £1.50 P & P. Don’t leave it until the last minute to order .. although we’ve never missed a deadline yet!
